J.D. Vance Brings Dishonor To The United States Marines
From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean
We are proud to claim the title:
Of United States Marine
Those are the first eight lines that make up the first stanza of "The Marines' Hymn", the official hymn of the United States Marine Corps, arguably the most prestigious arm of the most funded army in the world. The United States Marines were responsible for supporting the D-Day invasion, the invasion that would bring down the tyrannical and evil Nazi regime. They were responsible for taking Iwo Jima, in late February 1945 to help the United States in staging a strategic point to help defeat the Japanese, and even have an iconic photo to go with the feat as well. They really fought for right and freedom. J.D. Vance does not.
J.D. Vance, in his disastrous pitch to firefighters, actually uttered the phrase "Semper Fi", which is short for "Semper Fidelis", Latin for "always faithful" and it's used as the United States Marines' motto, which reminded me of him serving in the Marines - as his values clearly do not echo that of the Marines.
Irreverence to Right and Freedom
I do believe that any couple has the right and the freedom to choose how many children they would like to have bring into the world. Regardless of number of children, we should respect their choices even if we would not make them for ourselves. By contrast, J.D. Vance refers to people without children as "sociopaths". That isn't standing for right and freedom.
I do believe that everyone should have the freedom and right to abortion care as abortion care is healthcare. Any piece of legislation that limits or bans abortion should be ridiculed out of our legislature for infringing the woman's right and freedom to choose whether or not to terminate a pregnancy. By contrast, J.D. Vance is staunchly anti-choice and wanted the Department of Justice to enforce Comstock which was a draconian bill passed in 1873, which banned the mailing of abortion pills. I say pro-birth because of his pro-gun policies that will be discussed in the next part.
It is no secret that the United States has a gun control issue, an issue prevalent in the 21st century. Horrific incidents that have occurred in recent memory include Columbine, Sandy Hook and Parkland. Many members across the nation, both Democrats and Republicans alike. There is a universal consensus on having background checks. J.D. Vance does not support those measures, which means that he does not support the right of school-goers to live or the freedom to being free from fear of dying in schools from bullets.
Lack of Honor
I would think that it would be honorable not to degrade women and confine them to just be homemakers and in the "kitchen" as what many ultra conservative "alpha male" podcasters have described. In fact, not only is it dishonorable, but it is also disgusting as well. Look no further than J.D. Vance to bring absolute disgust to the American political system.
In an interview with Eric Weinstein in 2020, while discussing how his wife's parents helped raise his eldest son, Vance replied, "Yes" to a statement that Weinstein made: "That's the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female, in theory". In a podcast the next year, Vance said that professional women have "chosen" a miserable life choice if/when they prioritise upskilling and career advancement over breeding children in his Handmaid's Tale-esque fantasy.
If that was not bad enough, he even hinted that women in abusive marriages should stick together with their abusive partners, as reported by Vice. Even more recently, he has asserted that America is being run by "childless cat ladies" in which Vice President Kamala Harris would probably be chief of them.
Semper Infidelis The motto of the US Marine Corps is "Semper Fidelis", or "Always Faithful". This signifies the dedication and loyalty to "Corps and Country" even after service. Loyalty to the United States has been really tough for J.D. Vance. Speaking to CNN in May this year, NPR reports that Vance downplayed the severity of the January 6th insurrection attempt at overturning the 2020 election that elected Joe Biden as the United States' next president.
Despite chants of Trump supporters to "hang Mike Pence", Vance has suggested that Pence's life was never truly in danger. Not only that, he has commented previously that if he were in Pence's shoes, he would have asked crucial swing states like Pennsylvania and Georgia to send multiple slates of electors, probably pressuring them into being faithless electors and falsely certify Trump as the winner of the 2020 election. He really, has no fidelity to the truth, or to the constitution for which the republic stands. This is truly, a "Semper Infidelis" (or "Always Unfaithful") moment from Vance.
These incidents and more have shown that J.D. Vance has drifted from the Marine's values. Senator, you have no honour like the late Senator John McCain.
